dc.description.abstract"Special Heart Failure Therapies in Cancer Patients" explains how certain chemotherapeutic drugs can cause heart damage, their mechanisms of cardiotoxicity, and the clinical strategies for managing these risks. This thesis demonstrates the mechanisms by which chemotherapeutic agents such as anthracyclines, trastuzumab, and tyrosine kinase inhibitors induce cardiotoxicity. Furthermore, it highlights the potential side effects and the risk of heart failure, as well as the approaches for early detection and management of cardiotoxicity. Finally, it mentions preventive agents, such as dexrazoxane, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, and beta-blockers, highlighting their mechanisms of action and clinical benefits in preserving cardiac health during cancer treatment​.
