New approaches in the treatment of Ulcerative Colitis
Absztrakt
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) considered to be a chronic disease affecting the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It is divided to 2 major groups: ULCERATIVE COLITIS (UC) and CROHN’S DISEASE. The treatment of ULCERATIVE COLITIS is complicated and patient specific. Due to the very fact that ULCERATIVE COLITIS can negatively have many aspects on the patient’s quality of life, and it's related to high risk of complications or maybe mortality, there are developed wide selection of treatments which makes it very challenging in our clinical practice nowadays. because of different approaches and newly developed drugs which will be utilized in several formulations, patients affected by ULCERATIVE COLITIS are often managed and controlled better.
