The Concept of Love in Jane Austen Sense and Sensibility and its Representation in the 1995 Adaptation
Absztrakt
The thesis exhibits how Jane Austen demonstrated several concepts of love in her novel titled Sense and Sensibility (1811) and how these concepts are represented in its 1995 film adaptation. By examining the genre, social context, the characters and their developments both in the novel and the adaptation, as well as the setting, theme, and the changes of the film, it is safe to say that Austen created something significant and eternal with this story and the film is a great adaptation of the novel.
