Hypertension

Abstract

Hypertension is defined as high blood pressure.Hypertension is worldwide growing disease and main risk factor of further cardiovascular events. Risk factors of hypertension can be divided into modifiable (e.g. salt intake,smoking etc...) and non-modifiable (e.g age,gender etc...) risk factors.Many factors can contribute to rise in blood pressure such as SANS and RAAS. Variety of classes of drugs are available to treat hypertension (e.g. diuretics,beta blockers, etc...).Lifestyle management also play an important role to prevent further rise in blood pressure.
