The thesis covers various aspects of the disease, including epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, classification, clinical features, diagnosis, and management. The thesis highlights the multifactorial nature of atopic dermatitis and the complex interplay of genetic, environmental, immunological, and skin barrier factors that contribute to its pathogenesis. The thesis discusses the limitations of conventional therapies and the need for novel treatment modalities. Recent advancements in understanding immune dysfunction and genetic factors have led to the development of new and upcoming treatments, including biological therapies and personalized medicine strategies.
