The oral cavity reflects the general health condition of a patient, some signs and symptoms found in it may direct the diagnosis of an eventual disease. Up to 90% of chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients show oral pathological signs, with a high prevalence of periodontal disease. The aim of this thesis was to determine the correlation between CKD, a systemic disease and periodontal disorders, to evaluate how each condition can affect the other.hu_HU
