Absztrakt
This essay covers what deixis is, its main categories: participant deixis and object deixis, and the subcategories: person, social, place, time and discourse deixis. The second part describes some experiment regarding children's acquisition of deictic terms, and and analyses what these findings tell us about the children's cognitive development.
