Pharmacotherapy Of Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Absztrakt
AML is a clonal disorder of myeloid progenitors with the distinct features of clinical and biological heterogeneity. Chemotherapy has been a foundational management of AML in the past 40 years. It mainly consists of 2 phases : induction chemotherapy and consolidation therapy. Most tumor cells are rapidly eliminated and the patients put into a remission state in the remission induction phase. Consolidation is the intensive management after remission to get rid of the residual leukemic cells.
