My thesis was concerned with the conditions of mental health in American society after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The paper aims to cover studies done in the past 20 years to assess the effect of such an important historical event. PTSD, anxiety, depression, grieving, alcohol, and substance abuse all play a key role in my research. Later, the consequences in terms of physical health is also included. I also intended to measure the effect on the younger generation, to see how the influence of the events would prevail in the future.hu_HU
