This thesis explores the current pharmacological therapy of Gerd, which includes Antacids, PPI's, H2RA's, the efficacy in the clinical management of Gerd. Potential adverse effects, including drug interactions and pharmacodynamics. Promising Novel drugs such as P-CABs and IW-3718, are explored. It also explores the future pharmacological possibilities in the management of Gerd, which takes into account of the genetic aspect of the pathogenesis of Gerd. And also the current and future surgical procedures for the management of Gerd.
