Absztrakt
This thesis focuses on the pharmacological management of cystic fibrosis with emphasis on CFTR modulators such as Ivacaftor, Tezacaftor, and Elexacaftor. Their mechanisms of action, clinical efficacy, and pharmacokinetics including CYP3A-mediated metabolism, drug interactions, and high protein binding are discussed in detail. The thesis also reviews supportive treatments such as mucolytics and pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy. Emerging gene therapy and mRNA-based approaches are explored as promising future strategies. Overall, the thesis highlights the importance of precision pharmacotherapy in improving outcomes for patients with cystic fibrosis.
