The study covers a detailed research on digital changes in the EU member states through programmes, bodies, projects, and monitoring tools that are created with the aim of an efficient European Digital Single Market. The main sources of this study are quantitative reports presented by the European Commission’s databases namely Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) and Women in Digital Index (WiD). These sources are advocated by other related reports, surveys, and official articles. With the help of secondary datasets, the different levels of performances and multi-speed improvements of member states towards digitalization are evaluated throughout the study. The objectives of this study are crucial in International Economy and Business because the European Union has the potential to reshape the global economy with drastic development in the digital arena. The necessary perspectives that are given in this thesis are going to support the future developments of the European Union Digital Single Market.hu_HU
