In 2007, ten member states of Association Southeast Asian Nations agreed to implement ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015. The AEC Blueprint emphasizes four pillars of AEC: transform ASEAN into a single market and production base, a highly competitive economic region, a region of equitable economic development, and a region fully integrated into global economy. Eventhough this AEC’s policy is at the regional debate since there has no legal basis in the ASEAN Charter but the aim of the AEC remains positive effect to the regional economic development. The ambitious of AEC project in another side comprises unclear system of implementation and non-readiness of the member states. Using the mix methodology of research, this study addresses three important issues in AEC integration: readiness of member states national law, the need of supranational institution, and ‘rule of law’ reform.hu_HU
