Foreign direct investment has been proven to accelerate growth rates of nations around the globe. This research studies its effects on the Irish economy on a broad spectrum, analyzing the increase in the measures of key economic variables like employment, GDP, trade and poverty along with the formation of certain industries within the country. The analysis of the macroeconomic indicators helps link Ireland's previous growth rates during the Celtic Tiger era to it becoming the Globalization Champion in 2016. This research also looks into the transformation that Ireland might be subjected to given the Brexit turmoil and how its current, rigid position within the global economy might help maintain increasing growth rates.hu_HU
