Vasodilator treatment has a substantial impact on the treatment of various diseases such as systemic and pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, angina pectoris, and peripheral vascular disease. Depending on the class of vasodilators, there are numerous signalling pathways that lead to vasodilation. The class of vasodilators used is entirely dependent on the acuteness and kind of disease. The focus of this thesis is on the various types of vasodilators including their classification, mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, administrative routes, and side effects. Additionally, the treatment of Peripheral artery disease will be discussed with emphasis on the importance of vasodilators.hu_HU
