Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is the most common childhood malignancy.. Although it is less common in adults, it tends to have poorer prognosis. Different approaches and protocols are employed in the treatment of ALL. A wide variety of biological treatment. have shifted the treatment paradigm and significantly improved the prognosis of refectory and relapsed ALL. These agents can potentially replace conventional chemotherapeutic agents in the future, or the need for hematopoietic stem cell transplant for high-risk cases. Further research is required to establish long term clinical response and toxicities of these agents. Biological agent potentially will replace current chemotherapeutic regimens for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
