Almost 100 years ago my great-grandparents migrated to the United States of America looking for the American Dream to establish a better life for themselves. In my thesis, I am going to interpret their lives and the circumstances among which they left Hungary behind and their new living conditions and difficulties in the U.S. I am also going to evaluate what dreams they could fulfil there and which were the ones that remained unfulfilled. I also intend to examine the ideas of the “Melting Pot” or the “Mosaic” through their lives and personal experiences throughout the second and third generations up to present day including the connections they preserved with the mother country.hu_HU
