The interrelationship between orthodontics and periodontium is complex and diverse. Many studies have reviewed this matter. In my thesis focus on the effect of orthodontic forces to periodontal tissues, the type of periodontal disease and the micro-organism associated, and treatment planning. In general, supporting early diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease prior to initiate orthodontic treatment for the best interests of the patient.
