Alzheimer disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia and may contribute to 60–70% of cases. This narrative review examines available drug treatments to help relieve symptoms in several aspects of the disease. A variety of pharmacological agents targeting different cellular pathways were reviewed in order to evaluate the subject.
