This thesis aims to reveal the real personality of Mary Tudor. To explore her character features I intend to present the moments of her life which shaped her character. The first chapter is about her life from her birth to her enthronization; during introducing her tragical life I make an attempt to highlight her personality as a child and as a young adult as well. The second chapter shows the forgotten but great achievements she reached as a queen; furthermore it evaluates her mostly positive characteristic features and tries to disprove the prejudices against her. With my thesis I intend to change the readers’ opinion about this great monarch who is unfairly known as a cruel woman who sent many Protestants to death, although she created the basis of England’s golden age.hu_HU
