The inclusion of Black Soldier fly in the fish meal is an alternative to reducing the fish meal in the feed diet. The study conducted led to a better understanding of the adequate inclusion level in carp (cyprinus carpio) and its effect on growth and nutrient absorption parameters. Black soldier fly has shown the best zootechnical parameters when is compared with the insect meal of mealworm, silkworm, common housefly, grasshopper, termites, and locust. Each study shows that the nutritional content of the insect is mainly related to the given diet and the digestibility is attributed to the amount of chitin allocated in their body. The growth rate and feed conversion ratio in fish after consuming the insect meal can vary according to the fish type, age, and physiology. These factors can also influence the insect meal inclusion in the fish diet. Therefore, this study investigates the adequate inclusion level of the black soldier fly in carps (Cyprinus carpio) and the influence of its consumption in the weight, growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and survival of the fish.
