Abstract

Stroke is the most life-threatening complication of thromboembolism in non-valvular AF patients.The mechanical LAA closure technique was invented to prevent thrombus formation in the most common site (left appendage).The Left appendage can be isolated from the systemic circulation by many different ways for example; surgically, percutaneously, or thoracoscopically.
