This thesis looks into understanding the basic anatomy of the GI tract in order to discuss the pathophysiology, etiology, clinical symptoms, and complications of GERD, as well as the numerous screening methods used for early detection and prevention, and ultimately the various treatment choices available and how they differ based on their mode of action, duration, and site of action.
