The aim of this thesis was to analyze the evolution of dragons from their genesis in ancient Western mythology to contemporary times by using three selected films. Focusing on Dragon Hunters (2008), How to Train Your Dragon (2010), and Dragonheart (1996), it analyzes how dragons are portrayed with varying degrees of sentience, morality, and emotional depth.
