The purpose of the thesis is to provide an assessment of Blair's achievements concerning his policy towards the European Union. The paper focuses on how he could carry out his intention to 'give Britain leadership in Europe', and if he could turn the public opinion substantially over EU issues during the ten years of his premiership.
