The cultural factors have an influence on dental work. The dentist therefore need knowledge and guidelines how to receive the different cultures in the clinics. To understand when different patient seeks help for themselves and for family members, what they consider as a priority, how to receive them in a professional and respectful manner, understand their expectations, the involvement of the decision making and encourage further treatment and propagate to improved oral hygiene and life style. Globalisation has created new cultures, that dentist need to be aware of and understand. Something that can be seen as extreme for a dental point of view can become a new norm in the society.hu_HU
