The main objectives of this work were to study and analyze the longevity of the Hungarian Simmental beef purposed breed cattle. Secondly, evaluate the size of the herd, age at first calving, year, month, and season of first calving, as well as the sex of the first calf effects on the longevity of the Hungarian Simmental beef purposed breed cattle. The used data were obtained from the Hungarian Simmental breeders’ associations with the first calving recorded between 1986 and 2021. For the genetic analysis of functional longevity, the Weibull proportional hazards model was used. The results showed that the fixed effects had a significant effect on longevity.hu_HU
