Acne is a common disease not only restricted to patients of teenage years, in adults above the age of 20. Although its pathogenesis has been widely studied and understood within the dermatological community, management has proven to be a great difficulty due to its seemingly resistant to treatment nature. The objective of this review is to recognize the therapies as well as the most pivotal advances being made in the management and pharmacotherapy of acne.
