The public and physicians alike are being fed an agenda by the pharmaceutical industry that we assume has our best interests at heart, when the recurring theme is that they simply wish to increase their profits following the expiry of their highly profitable patents. This happens at the expense of the general public and the integrity and morality of the scientific field. Much of the supposed theories that back the development of further psychiatric agents are riddled with inconsistencies and oftentimes, misrepresentations of the truth. This paper aimed to present evidence from over 60 sources to demonstrate this. We were able to establish the fact that the industry readily markets and assembles scientific trials and research to back their products, as well as produce false epidemics with disease-mongering tactics to maintain their profits.hu_HU
