The gendered impact of K-culture on Western YouTuber community is clearly visible and a phenomenon worth addressing, since it influences even the everyday life of many. This paper looks into the general description of the Korean wave and its characteristics, also gives a short overview of its history. It also includes the appearance of social media and its impact on the spreading of K-culture, additionally elaborates on video contents on YouTube in connection with Hallyu.
