dc.description.abstract | Burn injuries are prevalent globally, with significant morbidity and mortality rates, impacting both physical and psychological health. Classification by severity includes first- to fourth-degree burns, caused by various factors such as thermal, chemical, and electrical sources. Assessment tools like the Rule of Nines aid in evaluation, while technologies like modern techniques such as BurnCase 3D facilitate rapid decision-making. Treatment involves pharmacological, non-surgical, and surgical approaches, including innovative therapies like 3D bioprinting and stem cell-based treatments. Scar management and rehabilitation play crucial roles in optimizing outcomes for burn patients, with surgical techniques like Z-plasty and non-surgical techniques like laser therapy improving functionality and aesthetics. | |
