Victorian Anxieties and Vampires: Female Sexuality in Bram Stoker's Dracula
Absztrakt
In my thesis, I discuss the representation of feminine promiscuity, sexual degeneration and gender inversion in Bram Stoker's Dracula in the context of late Victorian British society. I draw parallels between the novel’s main women characters and the idea of vampirism as a metaphor of the aforementioned matters.
