dc.description.abstractThe aim of my thesis is to elaborate on the issue of teaching foreign languages to young children and to introduce the efficiency of a particular institution engaged in this kind of activity by studying the pronunciation features of small children. In Chapter 1, which is concerned with the main issues of language acquisition, a brief description will be given about how children acquire their native language and what happens in second language acquisition. The role of age in second language acquisition will be described in Chapter 2 along with the findings of numerous studies that have proved the advantage of children over adults in pronunciation learning. The findings are confirmed by some explanations provided by several experts. In Chapter 3, a short summary will be given about the history of foreign language teaching, and the main features of the language teaching methods that are used nowadays will also be introduced. The tested language school and the test itself will be demonstrated in Chapter 4, where an analysis of the test results can also be found. It is the results of the language school and the success of their language teaching method that are emphasized in the last chapter.hu_HU
