The main purpose of this thesis is to represent the strong connection between feminism as a political issue and popular culture through Beyoncé Knowles, the African-American female artist, who stands up for feminism and equal right using her platform as an entertainer to encourage women all over the world. She is one of the most influential persons in the music industry who is considered to be a representative of feminism in popular culture. She supports not only feminism but as an African American artist stands up for Black women and their social, economic, and political rights. Beyoncé is the embodiment of the strong ties between pop culture and feminism, proving that political issues and popular culture are intertwined.
