Christie‟s oeuvre is reflexive and self-reflexive at the same time. The borrowed quotations provide transtextual links between high literature and Christie‟s crime fiction, since her texts communicate with the earlier and also the contemporary works of literature. Simultaneously, she recycles her own motifs and narrative techniques, which amplify each other in a broadly interpreted transtextual structure setting Christie‟s literary career in a frame.
