this thesis is centered around the treatment of malaria and its advances. treatment choices ranging from quinine derivatives to the more recent and improved artemisinin-based therapy. it also discusses the prophylactic steps required in malaria-endemic countries as well as drugs still in trial, making headway to other new forms of treatment.
