This thesis presents the changes that have been introduced in football over the past two decades as a result of the discovery of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. It gives an insights into the origin and development of football as well as its cultural implications. It discusses CTE, the viewpoint of players and the role of the media in the concussion crisis.
