Septic arthritis is an emergency situation that requires special attention. The treatment consists mainly of joint drainage and pharmacological therapy. Due to the rising bacterial resistance tendency, novel pharmacological strategies for the treatment of septic arthritis are developing, and this thesis aims to explore these new pharmacological strategies.
