dc.description.abstractThe Unified Growth Theory attempts to explain economic growth in the long run within a single framework. Accordingly, it is expected that a successful unified theory is capable of modeling the transition among different economic regimes. In this study, after identifying the main features of the three growth regimes (Mathusian, post-Malthusian and sustained economic growth), we review two typical unified growth theories. While the Hansen-Prescott model seeks to explain how the transition occurred, the Galor-Weil model focuses on the causes and interrelatedness of the observed phenomena. JEL classification: N10, O41en
dc.description.abstractAz egyesített növekedéselmélet célja, hogy a gazdasági fejlődés hosszútávú tendenciáit egységes elméleti keretbe ágyazva magyarázza meg. Ennek megfelelően egy sikeres egyesített modellnek képesnek kell lennie a különböző időszakok, gazdasági rezsimek közötti átmenetek egységes elméleti keretben történő modellezésére. Ebben a tanulmányban, a három növekedési korszak jellemzőinek áttekintése után, két növekedési modellt mutatunk be. Míg a Hansen-Prescott modell elsősorban azt mutatja be, hogy miként zajlott le az átmenet, addig a Galor-Weil modell a megfigyelt folyamatok okaira és összefüggéseire derít fényt. JEL-kód: N10, O41hu
