Pharmacology of Anti-clotting Drugs in Surgical Practice
Absztrakt
Anti-clotting drugs are classified into; 1. Anticoagulants, 2. Antiplatelet drugs, and 3. Thrombolytics. These drugs, which have different mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics are used for various purposes and in different age groups in clinical practice. Due to their anti-clotting effect, these drugs have the tendency to increase bleeding risk during surgical procedures. Therefore, different strategies are used to manage them before surgical and interventional procedures.
