Non-odontogenic cysts of the maxillofacial region represent a diverse group of lesions arising from epithelial remnants unrelated to tooth development. This thesis examines their embryological background, classification systems, clinical and radiological characteristics, histopathology, and treatment approaches. By comparing major classification frameworks and integrating developmental principles with clinical findings, the work highlights the importance of accurate differential diagnosis. Although less common than odontogenic cysts, these lesions are clinically significant due to their potential to mimic other pathologies. A comprehensive understanding of their origin and behavior supports effective management and improved patient outcomes.
