This thesis provides a well-rounded exploration of AI's role in aerospace robotics, focusing on autonomous satellite navigation and docking. It effectively utilizes advanced techniques like computer vision, SLAM, Model Predictive Control, and A* path planning to address challenges such as obstacle avoidance and precise docking in microgravity. The work integrates simulation and real-world considerations, presenting a comprehensive methodology and strong experimental results. Overall, it highlights AI's transformative potential in enhancing autonomy and efficiency in aerospace applications.
