Herbal remedies for chronic rhinosinusitis and its pharmacological aspect
Absztrakt
CRS is one of the most common chronic diseases, significantly affecting the quality of life of patients. This review discusses several herbal therapies for CRS, their physiologic mechanisms, and evidence supporting their use. It will present and discuss the finding that while many herbal therapies reviewed in this paper have scientific evidence, the number of clinical evidences to support their use for CRS is quite limited. Several novel therapies, such as Sinupret, show some firm evidence through clinical trials. However, high-quality clinical trials are required to recommend those drugs for general use.
