dc.description.abstract | This review highlights the widespread issue of peptic ulcers, which can be a serious health concern if left untreated. It explains that peptic ulcers are caused by different factors like H. pylori infection or the use of NSAIDs, requiring a personalized approach to treatment. Key treatments include medications like proton pump inhibitors, antibiotics for H. pylori, and protective agents for the stomach lining. Lifestyle changes, such as reducing stress, quitting smoking, and adjusting diet, are also essential in helping manage the condition alongside medications. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment are important to avoid complications that can be dangerous or even life-threatening. Healthcare professionals play a key role in ensuring patients get the right care and achieve the best outcomes. | |
