I chose to follow the content of the travelogues written by Hungarian travellers at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. I will also use several contemporary books in order to better illustrate the phenomena described in these travelogues and the observations and points made by their authors. I also intend to use earlier travelogues by Hungarian writers in a few cases to demonstrate trends and changes, or occasionally the lack of changes compared to the characteristics of the turn-of-the-century United States of America.hu_HU
