This research adopted the use of both Landsat and Sentinel satellite data imagery to calculate and find level of imperviousness using the Normalized Built-up Index(NDBI)and Linear Spectral Mixture Analysis(LSMA), the indicator would be used topredict the stormwaterlevel. The aim of the research is toanalyze the city of Debrecen's urban imperviousnessusing NDBI AND LSMA, compare the output for the two and draw inferences for stormwater flow in the city. The Linear spectral mixture analysisgives an accurate outputwith 10m satellite imagery resolutioncompared to the 30m resolution by Landsat. The Stormwater experiences surge in area withroofs on building, the driveways, the parking lots, and roads. In the developed city like Debrecen, there is an increase in impervious structure because many more structures are being constructed such as the roofs on building, the driveways, the parking lots, and roads have had significant effect on the available water in the soil.Tendency of flooding activities which could happen because of water overflowing, runoff and the soil compaction had significantly increased.hu_HU
