Objective of this study was to control Macrophomina phaseolina, a very polyphagous fungus with 100 host plants, in different crops, especially in sunflower, as in the case study in Hungary. Other fungicides were used to control the fungi Falcon pro, Amistar Xtra and Trezor at concentrations of 10; 20; 50; 100 ml toxic fungus. Falcon showed to stop mycelium and microsclerotia at different concentrations, followed by Trezor, also being able to control the growth of hyphae and microsclerotia at high concentrations. Finally, Amistar Xtra failed to stop the growth of hyphae and microsclerotia in other Petri dishes. This shows that fungicides can be used to control Macrophomina phaseolina.Falcon Pro was the best in controlling mycelium and microsclerotia of M. phaseolina among the three fungicides tested.hu_HU
