The RAAS is an extensive system of intricately woven pathways playing significant roles in general and local organ systems. Due to its extensiveness, and variety of effects, it allows for many targets of regulation which come in handy in several pathological processes, but especially in hypertension. It s generally assumed that processes which can cause arise in blood presure can also decrease it, therefore, agents which inhibit RAAS, are shown to decrease blood pressure, while also, improving symptoms and survival in heart failure, retarding the progression of kidney disease, and a lot more.hu_HU
