Barack Obama was elected on 4 November 2008, and American people are very promising that he is the one who can solve the world crisis and he can settle the question of unemployment in the USA. Black people took a long way from slavery until now, when the first African-American president was elected. For black people it was very difficult to reach to be counted as humans but it is not sure that these troublesome centuries and the efforts they took helped them to be accepted completely. How did they manage to do that and what kind of hardship and difficulty did they have to face? There were important turning points in history which changed the blacks’ situation. Paul Gewirtz pronounced that “since the early days of the New World colonies, when Blacks were first brought here as slaves, each American generation has had to confront the issue of race. The treatment and condition of Blacks in the United States have been the most serious challenge to our country’s stability. Racial issues have taken different forms at different times and locations, but they have been ever-present.”1 After the discovery of America until nowadays blacks were essential key figures of American history even when they were in the background.
