Gram-negative bacteremia is a serious medical problem that requires treatment approaches in the growing resistance to antibiotics. There's higher fatality rates associated with bacteremia caused by multiple species of bacteria. Antibiotics from almost all classes are currently available on the market to treat bacteremia. But resistance to antibiotics by these microbes has grown to be a significant and concerning problem in clinical treatment and the quick spread of illnesses. Hence, novel approaches to treat Gram-negative bacteremia, such as bacteriophage therapy, combination therapies, and the creation of novel antibiotics have shown promising results although there's debate on monotherapy and combined therapy. Thus despite the adverse effects of antibiotic therapy, such as allergic reactions and disruptions in normal microbiota, it is important to keep developing new approaches to deal with the complex treatment of the vast mechanisms involved in causing Gram-negative bacteremia.
